Yesterday, I headed into my 7 year old's room to wake her for school. It was 6:15am and she was not ready to wake up. Gently I placed my face near hers and encouraged her to "rise and shine". She then reached out with her hand and started patting my face and head. "What are you doing?" I inquired.
